A Review of the All Male Revues
by
Lena Dutkiewicz
To all you ladies out there:
In January of 2006 I started to review the shows put on by male revues as a courtesy for my club members. I thought: Why shouldn't all women benefit from my hard work? Let me tell you, this has been a labor of love, yet sometimes an aggravation so intense I almost pulled my hair out!!
As I undertook my mission, I got worried, having heard some truly horrifying stories about how badly women were treated by male strippers. I learned that some of the men have complexes, and truly think that they are God's gift to the fairer sex, while others realize that without us women and our money, they wouldn't be where they are. I saw Amen….my hat goes off to them. These are men to be respected!
First off I want to clarify: I LOVE MEN. The sight of their smile, the smell they get after being out in the wind, the feel of their bodies, and how they touch us and mean so much in our lives daily.
I've traveled quite a bit, checking out as many clubs as I could. I looked for the reaction of the audience to the men; their dancing skills, the creativity of the show, the personalities, and yes, the packages! (Tough job, but someone had to do for the sake of all women!) The rating scale I used is 1 – 5 stars, with 5 being the best. If the club offered Lap dances, I checked them out too (my job…remember?). Exhausting work I tell you. Heh heh heh! I only listed the clubs I've been to. The ones that sucked so badly, I won't mention. Maybe it will make them wonder and hopefully, improve their product.
I'll start with the city near and dear to my heart.
Chicago, Illinois
Chicago Beef – 2 stars
This troupe appears at quite a few clubs around town.
Bills themselves as The Hottest Male Revue Show in the Midwest.
Some of the men were handsome, a few I wondered why they were there. And so did the female audience. These men were made for an all male audience, not us. Then I realized I was in a gay club. Now I get it! more >>
