Q: How do you rekindle your sex life after a long marriage?
~~PR, Nevada

Vixen's Answer

A: One of the great things about a long marriage is how well you know each other, and can anticipate each other's needs, wants and desires. Unfortunately, that can also mean there are no surprises, no adventures, nothing left to discover. No surprises can be boring.

So, how do you fix this? By adding a little variety! Variety is the spice of life. I don't mean just try a new position. Try a new room. Try a new time of day. Buy some sexy lingerie and have it on when your hubby comes home from work, or show up at his office at lunchtime wearing it under your ordinary clothes. Let a little view of the red or black lacy strap peek out to tantalize him, then say, "Don't work overtime tonight." Visit one of those naughty stores together and shop for a vibrator or other toy that takes your fancy. Go see an erotic movie together, or rent one and watch it at home from the pulled-out sofa bed.

Best of all -- break the routine.

Go on a nice weekend trip to a beautiful bed and breakfast, someplace romantic, and just focus on the two of you. Get to know each other all over again. Maybe you don't know each other as well as you think. Ask your hubby if there's something he's always wanted to try but never has. Don't be afraid to tell him your fantasies, either. That's how to get back the spice!
