Okay, it's November, and fall is in the air. For those in the more northern climates, you're already beginning to see the leaves changing to their brilliant fall colors, you can feel the slight nip in the air. For the southerners, you're bundling up as the night air dips down to the 70s (LOL). For us, here at SUITE, it's a nostalgic time...and a time to celebrate. In only one year SUITE has garnered over 1.6 million hits.
Thanks to all the subscribers, contributors, and advertisers. You have made SUITE what it is today. And it's only going to get better. Tamara and I (mostly Tamara) are working feverishly behind the scenes to bring in more writers and of course guys for you to enjoy. We've got lots of future plans to improve your SUITE experience.
With a month and a half still to go for hurricane season, we had been pretty lucky on the Florida east coast. Wilma changed that. I've been without power for three days so far and lots of clean up. But I know it was worse in south Florida. Our thoughts and wishes go to all our Kittens down there. Send us an Email and let us know how you fared (and pics if you got ‘em!).
Our SUITE Knight for this month? You've got 12! We look back on the guys that made the grade (even one fuzzy one ;-). Do you know a true Knight? Tell us about him and send us a pic. He may be our next SUITE Knight. Remember besides good looks and a good physique he must be a true gentleman. Jan Douglas, SUITE subscriber, did just that and you can see her find in the Rogues Gallery.
Here we go for November. Andrew Miller does his third installment of self-defense for women. Sheila Clover English debuts in SUITE with her article on Circles of Seven Productions' Book Trailers. Think of movie trailers but for books. Sheila includes never before published behind the scenes photos of the movie set. Marilyn Puett researched and wrote about Sexual Predators. A quote from one of Marilyn 's Emails: “This was probably the most depressing thing I've ever had to write. Normally I infuse a little humor into my writing, but there's absolutely nothing funny about this. I learned a lot and hopefully SUITE 's readers will too.” Nuf said.
Romance reviewer and editor for Love Romances and Midnight Showcase Shaiha Williams helps out Lysa with our Book Reviews. SUITE also welcomes aboard Leigh Ellwood who will be taking over the Television Reviews. Mums the word for Karen Hudgins piece in the Gardens. And Alex Gonser brings us a piece on Thanksgiving recipes in the Kitchen. See Rocky Mountain Magic in Joanne Colby's Port O' Call and learn what you need to about fire extinguishers in the Maintenance area.
The Brief Interlude features a true hero, Scott Burke . We all watched him on CNN courageously landing the Jet Blue airliner with the sideways landing gear. Jewell Mason teamed up with Romance Junkies to allow SUITE a re-print of their interview with Karen Kay ; an amazing Native-American romance writer.See you next month...
