SUITE Brings You...Cocoa Beach, Florida
Cocoa Beach is a city of 12,000 located in the heart of Florida's Space Coast. The city has played an important role in the history of the country's space program.
Sun, sand and surf has made world famous Cocoa Beach, Florida synonymous with the words "BEACH VACATION."
It's been called the quintessential beach town, and Cocoa Beach, an hour's drive east of Orlando on Florida's beautiful Space Coast, exemplifies everything that a classic beach vacation should be. The tropical climate and exotic landscapes of Cocoa Beach offer endless ways to enjoy recreation and leisure on our six-mile stretch of white, sandy beach.
One of the more affordable vacation havens in all of Florida, there is never a lack of exciting things to do and see in this beautiful area. Fishing, surfing, boating, sightseeing, shopping, excellent dining, golfing, nightlife, and cruises are just a few of the many things to do in the area. While you're on the Space Coast you can visit the Kennedy Space Center (maybe even see a space shuttle liftoff!), go deep sea fishing, surf, windsurf, rent a jet-ski, swim in our crystal clear waters, and take a river tour to get close to the Florida gators, panthers, sea turtles and other awesome wildlife. Or you can drive just a short distance to Orlando, where you can visit Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios, and see all Central Florida has to offer, then return to Cocoa Beach to enjoy dinner at one of the many dining spots on the beach, ranging from elegant to sand-in-your-shoes casual. After dark, kick back and enjoy the easy beach-style nightlife activities that run the gamut from cool jazz clubs to beach side cafes.
Just six miles long and mostly less than one mile wide, Cocoa Beach is located on a barrier island with ocean beachfront running the entire length of its city limits. It's nestled between the great Atlantic Ocean and the Banana River Lagoon on Florida's Central East Coast. The Space Complexes of the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral are situated to the north, and Patrick Air Force Base is to the south. It's also situated just minutes from Florida's fastest growing port - Port Canaveral - where you can embark from the world class cruise terminals aboard affordable cruises to exotic Caribbean destinations or take a day cruise aboard a casino ship. Deep-sea fishing boats and day sails are also available. more >>
