SUITE Magazine Front Desk

From the desk of...Evan Scott

Sorry we're a little late this month. It's been incredibly busy here. The staff just got back from the Romantic Times Convention in St. Louis and we're all still trying to unpack.

It was great to meet many of our subscribers and welcome new ones at the SUITE booth. You are the ones who make SUITE possible. We received suggestions for more articles and new writers who will be contributing.

Our own Cindy Walker was the Mr. Romance Pageant Coordinator. It was an incredible task that started months ago. In spite of endless changes, no shows with contestants, and the organizational turmoil imposed on her, she pulled it off. Without her there's no way the Mr. RT pageant would have ever happened and we're proud of her.

A while back Cindy asked Tamara to be one of the models to do pose downs with the contestants. T only agreed, “as a last resort”. She expected to just do a couple poses at most and that was it. The other younger models would be the main show. When rehearsal started, things got completely turned around when the script was rewritten so that Tamara was positioned front and center to become the focus of attention. During the pose down, each contestant had to “win her over”. After the show T was deluged with enthusiasm and complements from women in the audience about how it was about time “a real woman” was represented in romance. I really hope the show was video taped cuz I want a copy.

Many thanks to our staff who worked so hard.
Executive Assistant, Lysa (Nymph of Mischief)
seemed to know exactly where to jump in and
help. I don't know what we would have done
without her. Mary (Sapphire Enchantress) was
a hit giving free chair massages and developed
a fan base of her own. Carla (Goddess of the
Edits) was out and about making contacts and
spreading the SUITE name to the masses.
SUITE's own interviewer, Jewel Mason, got
exclusives with the contestants. And we can't
forget our own Joanne Colby who helped cue all
the participants in the Mr Romance pageant.

We've got barely home and were already packing for more trips. I've got a meeting in New Jersey the week of May 10 then the week of the 17th, Tamara and I fly out to the Third annual German Book Lovers Conference in Wiesbaden. We'll be giving a fencing lecture and demo.

Due to the travel and possible lack of Internet connectivity overseas, the June issue could be little late too so please be patient with us.

Okay, on with the show…

Just what is it like on the other end of those 1-900 phone sex services? Sefra Mack gives us a peek behind the scenes as she tells us about her stint as the voice on the phone that has men coming back for more. She's got some great stories to tell. Find out how Marilyn Puett deals with a mid lift crisis; not hers…her husband's. Our Port O Call for this month is in our own back yard, Cocoa Beach, Florida. And I get my hands dirty again in DIY when I show you how to change a tire.

…oh yeah, can't forget the guys. This month's SUITE Knight is International male model and the winner of this year's Mr. Romance contest, Andrei Claude. We have a short bio and Q & A with each of the contestants in our Rogues Gallery. Rumor has it that Tamara has gotten exclusives with some of these guys for future issues, so make sure you come back.

There's lots more so check out the Table of Contents and enjoy.
