Jose Rosete
By Bronté Miller
Action hero, sex symbol and down to earth all describe actor Jose Rosete. He has starred in several movies due for release this year including a comedy with Todd Bridges that's on video store shelves right now called "Dope Game 2", in March; "Illegal Business", then "Machined" (www.machinedthemovie.com) and "Sportkill" (www.sportkill.com). This up and coming actor has started with a bang and he's not slowing down.
Jose may be best known to readers of romance as the handsome Carpathian in the Book Trailer® Dark Destiny. This year he's starred in the Susan Kearney Book Trailer®, The Ultimatum (www.susankearney.com). Jose plays Xander, the warrior from another planet who is out to save his people and his beautiful enemy.
I caught up with Jose right after The Ultimatum was released.
SUITE: What made you decide to be an actor?
Jose: “I watched a lot of movies growing up. My favorite thing to do was go to the movie theatre. Once I realized the people in the movies were only pretending and that everything going on wasn't actually real, I could only imagine how much fun these people were having. I knew it was only a matter of time before I followed my dream of becoming an actor.”
SUITE: What's been your greatest challenge so far?
Jose: “The most challenging role up to this point is my short film. I wrote it and directed it. It's titled "Indebted." It has gotten into five film festivals up to this point. Directing myself was a very different experience since I knew my performance was very demanding. I'm very proud of the results.”
Some challenges can depend on things outside the script. Day to day tasks can change according to what kind of role is given. more >>
