Interview...

Michael
By Cindy Walker

You've been working very hard. Everything is crazy and seems to be rush, rush, rush! You run here, you run there; someone is always coming at you wanting this or wanting that. You are exhausted and would give just about anything to have a little down time to refresh and recharge your batteries. So why don't you do just that? Take a little time out and take care of YOU! Pamper yourself. Indulge. What better way to do that than to treat yourself to a full body massage!

About once a week or every other week for the past several months, I've been treating myself to a half hour chair massage. I always shied away from having a massage because the few I've had either hurt or were very uncomfortable. When I made this statement during a facial (yes, once in a while I treat myself to that too!), the young lady (Linda) said “Oh! You need to see Michael. He's the best!” To that end, when she finished with me, she drug said individual over and told him what I'd said. Michael was very amiable and gave me a five minute (which turned into a fifteen minute) complimentary massage. At the end of it, I was hooked. If I may be so bold, Michael lived up to his reputation. He is the best. He is fantastic.

Now I have become his biggest challenge in that he knows before he even begins my massage he'll have his work cut out for him each and every time I arrive. I think he actually gets a little excited to see me. (Hey! Don't burst my bubble! At least in some way I make someone excited and they look forward to seeing me. It's not much, but I'll take it!) And what, exactly, is it about my visits that excites Michael so? Well, as much as I wish it were because of my absolutely stunning beauty, alas I fear it is not. It is for the following reasons: I can't shut my mind off – it always goes a mile a minute. Even getting to sleep at night is difficult most of the time. So that is one challenge. The second challenge - I have this little problem of not being able to be quiet. I can't stand silence, so I talk most of the time he's giving me a massage. And last but not least, challenge number three: I am always tense – to the point I've been that way so long it feels natural to me. I don't know what it's supposed to feel like to be relaxed, if that makes sense.

This month I'm going to interview Michael, who has taken on the challenge of trying to get me to completely relax by giving me a full body massage. We have a bet going    more >>
