From the desk of...Tamara McHatton
We've had a lot of things happening here at SUITE this month. Just a few days ago, Evan and I were featured on Jewel's Way Radio Show and we had a blast answering questions from curious listeners and die-hard fans of SUITE (waving to Marjorie and Lori). Jewel said she had so much fun with us she's invited SUITE to be on the show again. Hmmm…lemme think about this…should we be on Jewel's Way Radio Show?…oh yeah!
From all the emails we've gotten, many of you are aware we had problems with our site being down during July. The problems are fixed (crossing fingers) with our web-hosting service, and we'd like to thank everybody for their patience and support. It really means a lot to us. Without you all, SUITE would not be where it is today. Also, due to this problem, SUITE started a newsletter so we could keep all our readers informed of happenings both with and to SUITE. If you'd like to be put on our mailing list then click here.
For those of you missing Carla Arpin, fear not, she is still hard at work…and loving her new position as Publicity Coordinator for award winning author, Linnea Sinclair. Word has it that Linnea will be appearing at the Barnes and Noble on Wickham Road in Melbourne, Florida on August 23 (7PM) for a book signing of her release Finder's Keepers. If you want to find out more information about where Carla is booking Linnea then drop her an email at publicist@linneasinclair.com.
Okay, on to the show. For our Main Features this month we have four very different articles. I bring a piece to you on the Shuttle, Discovery, from the viewpoint of somebody living right on the Space Coast and the excitement all the way up to liftoff. We welcome newcomer, Diana Tierney, to SUITE's growing writer's list. She let's us in on how far a kid(s) will go to thwart the dreaded boyfriend with Oh Sheesh…Mom's Dating Again. Marilyn Puett, as always, gives us a delightful article, on Making Scents of Aromatherapy, and Carla Arpin outdoes herself with some parting advice… Breaking Bad Work Habits.
Tony the Tiger has ceased to roar. No sadder words could be said. Thurl Ravenscroft, the only voice to date, of Tony the Tiger, just recently passed away…check out SUITE's Brief Interlude for more about this incredible man. We begged her, we cajoled her, we got down on our knees and made fools of ourselves, but we finally got Valerie Bongards to agree to an Interview with SUITE. This mother of 11 (who we've put in for a sainthood pin!) let's us in on what it's like to keep up a crew this size (where was she when I was bringing my brood up?).
One man gets all his wishes coming true in Say the Magic Words by Marie Belle, August's Heat Between the Sheets. SUITE is so proud to announce that the very talented Lynne Connolly is the author of our Book Excerpt: Eternal Beauty, Eternal Darkness. SUITE travels this month to Napa Valley, America's wine country, and JJ Giles gives us a stern warning about Panties To Go; 21st Century Chastity Belts. We have Hot August Nights in SUITE's This ‘N That, as well as an Erotic massage in our Sensations column. A Taste of Evil by Maureen Wood (13th Floor) will definitely make you think twice about spending the night at your sweetheart's house!
SUITE cannot say enough good things about its SUITE Knight this month, Lance Lamar. This man is not only a commercial airline pilot, personal trainer, and overall delicious male specimen, he's also one of the SUITEst guys you'll ever want to meet! And who better to have in SUITE's Rogues Gallery than Batman from Batman Begins? See Christian Bale dressed, undressed and every way in between. Travis Fimmel, Aussie god, skater boy turned runway model, is perfect as SUITE's One Knighter and rounding out the delicious eye candy is Brad Pitt in the VIP SUITE.
As Patti Rebmann (previously the writer for SUITE's Sensations column) has stepped up to the position of Senior Editor, we'd like to give a huge, huge SUITE welcome to the new writer of this monthly column, Barb Webb. Karen Hudgins, multi-talented author and photographer extraordinaire, has also joined SUITE as a regular contributor. Look for her beautiful photographs and scintillating write-ups in The Gardens premiering next month!
Whew! I told you we had a lot going on this month! Stay tuned for more SUITE delights and until next time I'll be…
Satisfying your Mind, Enchanting your Soul, and Touching your Heart
